Asikana Ethiopia Coffee

Our organic Ethiopian Shade Grown 100% Heirloom Arabica Coffee has aromas of creamy lush vanilla and cherry pipe tobacco in a wood panelled library with flavors of pomegranate, orange, coconut and creamy vanilla. We loved it as a pour over. After letting it rest for about a week, we tried it as an espresso. The natural process of Asikana Specialty Coffee gave it a smooth bright grapefruit citrus with an undercurrent of pomegranate, coconut and vanilla, a lot like a Beaujolais wine.

Organic Ethiopian Shade Grown Coffee Friendly to birds.

We are happy to have this 3-star Organic Ethiopian Shade Grown Coffee. Ethiopia Asikana Specialty Coffee comes from the Asikana Cooperative.  It is a natural process, friendly to birds, organic, shade grown coffee. The Asikana (it means “we start from here” in the local Oromia language) co-op was established in 2008. All their coffees are natural process because Asikana has no wet mill facility. Once the coffee is dried the women of the co-op hand sort the coffee to ensure only the best quality beans are bagged for export.

Enveloping woody flavors, delightful red wine, and a smoothy coconutty note tying it together. Super unique, super delicious.

All coffee from Cosmic are wonderful, but Ethiopia is my current favorite, it’s perfect for pour over, the after taste has a wonderful citrus flavor.
